Kalani Pe‘a & Taimane

Four-Time GRAMMY® Award-winning Vocalist joins with award-winning ‘Ukulele Virtuoso in a Double Bill that features two of Hawai’i’s most exciting and innovative artists today!

About Kalani – “Gifted with a gorgeous voice and a flair for composing resonant Hawaiian songs, … a major, innovative figure in contemporary Hawaiian music.” – Maui News

About Taimane – “So much magic unfolded in such short order.” — Bob Boilen, host of NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts

Four-time Grammy winner Kalani Pe‘a is a charismatic performer with a gorgeous voice, powerful presence, and captivating style – an exceptional talent in a new generation of Hawaiian performers. Praised for his brilliant vocal style, poignant songwriting, and commitment to his Hawaiian roots, his dynamic musical range runs from traditional chant to evocative originals, from Hawaiian songs to R&B and showtunes, thrilling both traditionalists and new generations. He is the only Hawaiian artist to win the Grammy’s Regional Roots category four times and has won 8 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards (Hawai’I’s music awards), including the coveted Male Vocalist of the Year. The first (and only) Hawaiian performer ever presented at NY Lincoln Center’s American Songbook series (it sold out), he returned to New York in 2024 for 10 sold-out performances at Carnegie Hall’s Musical Explorers program. Celebrated among his peers, he performs annually at Hawai’I’s prestigious Merrie Monarch Festival. Step into contemporary Hawai‘i with the delightfully charming Kalani Pe‘a!

Taimane is a virtuoso, songwriter, singer, and producer show has redefined the boundaries of the ‘ukulele, one of the preeminent cultural touchstones of her homeland. Born and raised in Hawai‘i, the hapa Sāmoan artist (part native Sāmoan, part Caucasian) began performing professionally at age 13 under the mentorship of Don Ho. With the fierceness of a rocker and grace of a dancer, Taimane blends classical, rock, flamenco, and Polynesian sounds into performances that are bold and emotionally rich. Through music, dance and cultural storytelling, she takes audiences on immersive journeys, keeping their rapt attention from start to finish. A trailblazer for both the ‘ukulele and Polynesia, Taimane has earned four Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards, including Favorite Entertainer of the Year in 2019 and 2023. Taimane has also garnered a worldwide fanbase with over 50 million video views, 500,000+ social media followers and sold out concerts from Hamburg to Honolulu. She is a dynamic artist who brings so much to the table. Yet, her show is perhaps best captured in these few words from music journalist Jon Woodhouse, “seeing Taimane in concert is an experience.”
